HOLIDAY CLOSING: The Center is closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

FREQUENT LUNCH TICKET PROGRAM: Pick your lunch card up at the front desk or at the cashier window in the Myron Phillips Hall. Buy a lunch and receive a stamp on your card. After nine lunches are purchased, the tenth lunch is free!

REFUND POLICY: Letters of credit or refunds are given when a physician’s note is turned in during the same session for yourself or an immediate family member living at the same address. Please notify us as soon as possible.

VOLUNTEERS: Calling all volunteers! Please help us update our records. We have updated the volunteer application for 2013. If you have not filled a form out this year, please get a new application from the Front Desk, the Activities office, and all volunteer sign-in locations. Completed applications can be returned to the Front Desk. Thank you for hard work and dedication!

FINANCIAL AID: Financial aid is available for individuals who need assistance with class fees. Please ask the Receptionist for an application and return it to the Executive Director. All inquiries will be kept confidential.

GOSPEL SING: Sunday, April 21, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Join us for a soup and salad lunch and an afternoon of wonderful music. Area gospel musicians will entertain and share enjoyable gospel songs. Tickets: $6.00.

PING PONG TOURNAMENT: Thursday, April 25, 10:00 a.m. Do you think you have what it takes to take home the grand prize? Then join us for a Ping Pong Tournament in the lower level! This will be a double elimination tournament, so practice your skills now! There are prizes for first, second, and third place. Sign up at the front desk no later than April 23. Cost: $5.00

SENIOR DAY: Tuesday, May 21, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Learn more about aging in the State of Ohio from Larke Recchie, Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Continue the day with fantastic entertainment from Jerome James, as well as door prizes and a delicious lunch! And of course, it wouldn’t be a Senior Day without crowning our King and Queen! Tickets are $6.00 at the front desk and must be purchased no later than May 15. Limited number of tickets available, so get yours as soon as possible!

WELCOME TO MEDICARE: Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 p.m. OSHIIP (Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program) is presenting a Welcome to Medicare event here at the Senior Center. This event is open to anyone turning 65 in 2013 and is designed to help new beneficiaries understand their rights, responsibilities, and health insurance options.

GRANDPARENTS DAY: Friday, June 21. Join us for our Second Annual Grandparents Day. Bring your grandchildren to lunch for only $1.00 and then enjoy ice cream, games and crafts in the Social Room. Please mention the number of children attending when calling to make a reservation. Reservations must be made no later than 9:30 a.m. on June 20.

DANCE: Thursdays, April 11, May 9, and June 13, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled dance at the Senior Center! Dance begins at 6:00. Dance tickets are $5.00 in advance and at the door. The band is Del-Ci-Tones.

MONTHLY BIRTHDAY PARTY: Thursdays, April 11, May 9, and June 13. Celebrate your birthday with us! Country Club and Geib Funeral Home & Crematory sponsor this event. Each birthday guest will receive a balloon from the Balloonatik, a carnation from Country Club, a photo of their special day with a free lunch voucher to use at a later date. Please remember to make your lunch reservations in advance and no later than 9:30 a.m. the day of the event.
